Dock building and repair
A good dock makes the waterfront usable, whether you keep a boat, paddle a kayak or just like to sit out over the water. If you're in Red Bank, Fair Haven, Rumson, Middletown or Highlands, call and we'll connect you with a local marine contractor who builds and repairs docks on your stretch of water.

Call (732) 399-3747What they can build
- Fixed docks and piers on pilings
- Floating docks that rise and fall with the tide
- Ramps and gangways between a fixed pier and a float
- Kayak and paddleboard launches
- Decking replacement, new railings and new hardware on an existing dock
Signs a dock needs work
- Soft, split or loose deck boards
- Pilings that are leaning, wobbling or worn thin at the waterline
- Rusted bolts and brackets
- Floats sitting low or tilting
- A dock that moves more than it used to when you walk on it
Before you plan a new dock
How long a dock can be, and where it can go, depends on state and town rules, the water depth at low tide, and your neighbors' property lines. A new dock or a bigger one usually needs permits, while fixing an existing one in the same footprint may be simpler. Your contractor, and their engineer when one is needed, will look at your site and handle the permits.
